At Arcusin, we’ve always believed in talent. In sharing knowledge, opening doors, and standing by those who are ready to move forward. That’s why supporting Robotech isn’t just about backing young talent — it’s also a chance to keep learning alongside them.
Robotech is a team of students from Pla d’Urgell, aged 12 to 16, who have been competing in the First Lego League for years. Their 2024 season has been remarkable: they were the only team in the world to take home two awards from the world finals in Houston, Texas.
A day at Arcusin: shared technology and curiosity
We recently welcomed them to our headquarters for a day filled with technical discussion and genuine enthusiasm. Ferran Cusiné, our Engineering and R&D Director, and Pere Corral, Head of the Technical Office, showed them some of our current work, including automation systems and models like the AutoStack FSX and the MultiPack E14.
What impressed us most was their curiosity, sharp observation, and ability to connect ideas. It was a great exchange of knowledge.
From Lleida to Houston… via Ferrol
To make it to the global finals, Robotech first won the local phase in Lleida, followed by the national stage in Ferrol. In Houston, out of 160 teams from 55 countries, they earned third place in Robot Performance and the Excellence in Engineering Award. A result that reflects everything they’ve put in: planning, design, testing, problem-solving… and countless hours of work.
Their robot, Bolt, was built to take on the challenges of this year’s theme: Submerged, focused on underwater environments and plastic pollution.
In addition to the robot, they presented Boottler, a project proposing standardized reusable containers to cut down on waste and promote sustainable systems. It’s both a technical and socially driven initiative.
Supporting real learning journeys
At Arcusin, we believe in supporting projects that have real potential — and Robotech is one of them. Seeing how they work, sharing knowledge, and being part of their story fits perfectly with how we approach innovation: collaborative, hands-on, and grounded in reality (and in the field).
We’re glad to contribute to a journey that’s just beginning — and that clearly has a lot more ahead.
